yes yes yes we are, well so says the Wall Street Journal.

The Sneaker/Fashion community has been leaking its “streetwear” influence more and more into Corporate America, and while some people would say, “HEY MIKE NO SH*T” I think it is much more validated when it hits a major publication such as the NY Times or the Wall Street Journal.

There is an article in the October 24th issue about how the C.E.(O-G) of Nike, Mark Parker, is depending on, in main stream media world,”lesser-known figures” like Mister Cartoon and Futura to sell Nike’s.

Its a good read considering Nike, along with Apple, is one of the few brands to stay GLOBAL, INFLUENTIAL, STREET (well as “street” as geeks can be in the case of apple), CUTTING EDGE, and UNDERGROUND.

As i conduct my daily rituals; 2nd cup of coffee, checking ebay and Freshnessmag.com for kicks to buy, and listening to Angie at 3pm and then the Rush Hour with DJ Enuff, side bar - the two coooooolest people you will every meet in the entertainment buisness. I hear, cool as hell and nice as hell, DJ Camilo start the show with one of my favorite records on Kanye’s album, “I Wonder” and immediately everyone in the office is trying to figure out what Kanye sampled to make that song.

SO immediate i head to the big “G” website in the sky and rush to be the first with the answer.

I came across this dope video someone put together with the songs from Graduation and there original samples..

Every time you (haters) try to front on Kayne remember he is way smarter than you think and his knowledge of music, not just hip hop, is crazy extensive. If nothing else respect his 1000% dedication to his craft.
