The Sneaker/Fashion community has been leaking its “streetwear” influence more and more into Corporate America, and while some people would say, “HEY MIKE NO SH*T” I think it is much more validated when it hits a major publication such as the NY Times or the Wall Street Journal.
There is an article in the October 24th issue about how the C.E.(O-G) of Nike, Mark Parker, is depending on, in main stream media world,”lesser-known figures” like Mister Cartoon and Futura to sell Nike’s.

Its a good read considering Nike, along with Apple, is one of the few brands to stay GLOBAL, INFLUENTIAL, STREET (well as “street” as geeks can be in the case of apple), CUTTING EDGE, and UNDERGROUND.
